Fardad Mobed DMD, Endodontists
Dr. Fardad Mobed is an endodontc specialist at Northgate Dental Center with a career built at the intersection of advanced clinical practice and academic excellence. His focus is on diagnosing and treating diseases of the dental pulp and root canal system with a philosophy centered on relieving pain, restoring comfort, and saving natural teeth.
Dr. Mobed earned his dental degree from Boston University and went on to serve as a Clinical Instructor in the Restorative Department at Tufts School of Dental Medicine, where he was recognized with the Educator of the Year award. After several years of combining private practice with teaching, he returned to Boston University to complete his specialty training in endodontics. He is among the pioneer graduates trained in microscopic endodontics using high-powered magnification to perform both non-surgical root canal treatment and surgical procedures, including apicoectomy (root-end surgery), with greater precision and improved outcomes for patients.
Patients come to Dr. Mobed for a full range of endodontic concerns, including root canal treatment, endodontic retreatment for teeth that have had prior root canal therapy, treatment of dental infections and trauma, and evaluation of persistent pain or sensitivity. His approach combines thorough diagnosis with clear, honest communication so that every patient understands their options before treatment begins
Dr. Mobed is an active member of the American Dental Association and the American Association of Endodontists. Outside of the office, Dr. Mobed is a lifelong soccer player who competed at the professional level early in his career and still enjoys the game today. He is also an avid gardener, a hobby that keeps him grounded away from the clinic.
David Joey Chang DMD, Oral Surgeon
Dr. David Joey Chang is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon with extensive experience in the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery. He grew up in Australia and came to Boston in 1998 to continue his education. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from Boston University and his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. He went on to complete his advanced training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery through Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and Tufts Medical Center.
In addition to private practice, Dr. Chang has held academic leadership roles at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, including serving as Director of the Pre-Doctoral Program in Oral Surgery. He has also served as an attending surgeon at Tufts Medical Center and has lectured dental students, residents, and doctors through continuing education programs both nationally and internationally.
Dr. Chang practices the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery, with clinical interests that include wisdom tooth removal, dental implant surgery, canine exposures, maxillofacial trauma and reconstruction, obstructive sleep apnea, and orthognathic surgery. He is committed to evidence-based, patient-centered care and works closely with referring dentists to make the surgical experience as smooth and comfortable as possibl
At our multispecialty office, Dr. Chang is especially valued for his calm and reassuring approach with adolescents and young adults. Many of our patients see him for wisdom tooth extractions and canine exposures, and families appreciate his ability to combine excellent surgical skill with a warm, approachable manner.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Chang has trained in Brazilian jiu-jitsu for many years. He also enjoys grilling for family and friends, who are always glad to be on the receiving end of his cooking skills.
Bahram Ghassemi DMD MSD, Orthodontist
Dr Bahram Ghassemi has been practicing orthodontics in the Boston area since 1985, and is a diplomat of the American Board of Orthodontics. He received his dental training and a certificate of advanced graduate study in orthodontics at the Boston University School of Dental Medicine.
He currently serves as associate clinical professor in the Department of orthodontics at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. His research has been published in several leading journals of orthodontics and pediatric dentistry and he is a member of the leading professional dental associations.
Dr Lily Parsi DMD, Pediatric Dentist
Dr Parsi recieved her Doctorate in Dental Medicine from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. After practicing general dentistry for a number of years she then completed her Advanced Education Training in Pediatric Dentistry from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Lily Razavi, Orthodontist
Dr. Lily Razavi grew up in Tehran, Iran, and completed high school in Princeton, New Jersey. She received her dental and orthodontic training at Tufts University, where she graduated in the top 10% of her class and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) National Dental Honor Society, an honor reserved for dentists who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement, clinical excellence, and character.
Dr. Razavi is a board certified orthodontist, a distinction held by only a minority of orthodontists nationwide. She treats both pediatric and adult patients and has experience with braces, Invisalign, functional appliances, and surgical orthodontic cases. She is committed to evidence-based, individualized care and enjoys working with people from diverse backgrounds.
Fluent in English, French, Farsi, and Spanish, Dr. Razavi values clear communication and long-term patient relationships.
